Last month, I made some progress on projects that I have been contemplating for a long time. This month, I will be slowing down a bit because my husband’s birthday is next week and then, of course, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving. So, with that said, here are my goals for this month:
- Keep working at developing systems for our home. Last month I read Large Family Logistics and put the finishing touches (at least for now) on my Daily Routines. This month, I am going to focus on refining my weekly schedule/routines. Following the Large Family Logistics system assigns a specific focus to each day of the week (Monday is Laundry day, etc.). I have already come up with a general outline of when these things work for our family (or at least when I think they should work best ). Now, I need to spend time developing a list for what I need to do on those days so that I can “do the next thing”.
- Plan details for our Thanksgiving celebration. We will be staying home for Thanksgiving this year, so I need to locate all of our food to prepare a big feast that will not make anyone sick!
- Begin studying and implementing the Power of a Praying Wife and the Power of a Praying Parent in my daily prayers. I bought these books a while ago and have read the first chapter or so of each. I would like to incorporate them into my daily prayers in a more intentional way. I am participating in the Good Morning Girls study right now which takes care of my M-F quiet times, but I’m thinking that Saturday and Sunday would be a good time to start studying a chapter a week (from each book) and add my prayers to my prayer lists for each member of the family.
